General comments
Dosering:
het eerste generatie cefalosporine cefazoline 2 g iv.
gecombineerd met metronidazol iv (500 mg) wanneer een anaëroob spectrum nodig is.
Duur:
- Eén enkele dosis van perioperatieve antibiotische profylaxe heeft de voorkeur, maar een hernieuwde dosering van 2 gram cefazoline iv is nodig bij een operatieduur van >2 keer de t1/2 (deze is voor cefazoline: 1,5 – 2 uur) en bij bloedverlies van > 1500 ml.
- Algemeen wordt aanvaard dat de profylactische toediening van antibiotica enkel peroperatief van nut is. Profylaxe langer dan 24 uur na een ingreep is niet zinvol.
Allergie:
Bij cefalosporine allergie of anafylaxie bij gebruik van penicillines
Clindamycine 600mg eenmalig
