Benzylpenicilline zo nodig ophogen tot 4milj. IU 6dd
Benzylpenicilline bij voorkeur continu doseren.
Excisie van de eschar is gecontraïndiceerd.
Alle anthraxvormen, dus ook de cutane vorm, ontstaan als gevolg van een bioterroristische aanval moeten behandeld worden conform de behandelingswijze en -duur als vermeld in het LCI-protocol.
Voor chemoprofylaxe in geval van een bioterroristische aanval zie bijlage II bij het LCI-protocol.
